Founded in 2010 in a partnership with the now defunct Birmingham based arts centre – The Drum, DesiPulp bring the talent and experience of a team that pioneered Asian comedy in UK back in 1984 with HAC Theatre’s One Nation Under a Groove.. innit and The Naked Helmet and problems with coping with the dominant social paradigm in a civic culture..
Rolling through avatars such as One Nation /Watermans with productions such as Don’t Look My Sister... innit!, Bollywood & Bust, Papa Was a Bus Conductor, Arrange That Marriage, the team revived Arrange That Marriage for DesiPulp, developed Mr Niceness and is now plodding through new projects – Bhindys, and the irreverent One Nation…

The team and brand behind DesiPulp for Bhindys has experience of half a dozen full length touring shows – Arranged That Marriage, Don’t Look My Sister.. .innit!, Bollywood & Bust, Papa Was a Bus Conductor, at venues such as Lyric Hammersmith, Bloomsbury ( West End), Leicester Haymerket (The Curve), Warwick Arts Cenre, Edinburgh Fringe and at least dozen other venues performing over 250 shows!
